Summer 2012 - Beginning Ceramics (Adults 18-up)
Learn the hand-building construction techniques of pinch, coil, slab, and beginning wheel techniques to create functional ware or sculpture. Thursdays June 28-August 2 6-8pm. $140 plus $40 materials fee

Learn more about how you fit in your community through art projects created with recycled materials and "found objects". Create a book with personal writings and drawings, and help create "trees" made from cut and painted water bottles, which will be publicly displayed. Learn how the history of your country has contributed to making who you are. Looking at the early artists of America, students explore the style and artifacts of southwest Native Americans, and create their own textile designs, "Spirit Doll", and book of personal drawings and writings.
